Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
If a play improved any part of the player's best score, save a replay of it into the database. Also offer manual replay saving if the player wishes. A replay should contain multiple redundant pieces of information to ease future verification and analysis.
